From the Secondary Principal

Dear Parents, We look forward to seeing you at Parent-Teacher-Student conferences this Thursday, April 4. Teachers will be available in the Secondary Library for brief, drop-in conferences anytime between 8:00-11:00 or 12:00-3:00. No classes will be held on this day to allow for teacher availability during either window of time. Conferences will pause for a lunch break between 11:00 and 12:00. Conference attendance is optional but strongly encouraged as we begin the final quarter of the 2023-2024 school year. Students must attend with their parents. We also invite you to attend an informational session on Friday, April 5 during which our counselor, Carolina Blanco, will share general information about university options and admission requirements. This session will begin promptly at 8:15 in the Theater.

Dear parents, We are happy to share a new addition to our team. Mr. Ignacio Diez, an experienced teacher and administrator, will be joining us as a new high school teacher this coming August. However, in the interim, he will be serving in a temporary, part-time role as Dean of Students. He will also be responsible for assigning disciplinary consequences when necessary. Mr. Diez is housed in the Secondary Library and works from 11:00am until the end of the school day. He can be reached by email at ignacio.diez@acslp.org. We are excited to support our student athletes during this week's Cougar Cup. Middle and high school will be competing in basketball an...

Dear parents, It's hard to believe that we are nearing the end of the 3rd quarter. Third quarter report cards will be sent on Friday, March 22. Please check with your child about his or her academic progress, and contact teachers directly if there are any questions or concerns.  To help facilitate this critical communication, we will host Teacher-Student-Parent conferences on Thursday, April 4. All classes will be cancelled on this day to allow parents and students to drop in for brief conversations with any or all of your child's teachers. Teachers will be available in the Secondary Library from 8:00 until 11:00 and again from 12:00 until 3:00. Attendance is encouraged but optional, and no appointment is necessary. Students are expected to attend with their parents. We are excited to continue offering opportunities to purchase books in English for the ACS Community. We are partnering with Ernesto Martinez, from Vinculos Publishing, here in La Paz, to offer high-quality books a...
